Stephanie Dale writes for stage, radio, and large-scale theatre. Stephanie’s BBC Radio 4 work includes: BELIEVE ME (nominated for the Tinniswood Award 2012); WRITTEN IN MIST; WHAT IS MISSING FROM YOUR LIFE?; THE WIFE; and FIRST BITE OF THE AIR. She has also written the film WALK MY JOURNEY (Theatre in the Quarter, 2020, winning bronze at the UK Charity Film Awards), and the podcast WOMEN AND WORK: MAGGIE (Women and Theatre, 2020).


 

Stephanie was Head of Dramatic Writing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, 2018-2022. She has taught at many Universities, including being a supervisor on the MPhil in Playwriting at the University of Birmingham.

 

Alongside writing Stephanie works as a dramaturg, supporting emerging theatre makers. 

 

Stephanie was awarded the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Olwen Wymark Theatre Award, 2023.
